There is this feeling that comes from spending an afternoon in a nice robe and feeling beads of sweat runoff your brow in a hot steam. It’s called relaxation. It’s that moment when you feel the stress leave your body. That moment that we all crave when the only thing we are concerned with is our breathing or the trashy magazine we are reading. A spa day is the perfect remedy for the long hours you put in at the office or the even longer hours you put in raising those kids that seemed like such a good idea at the time.
A Few Las Vegas Spas You Should Check Out
Red Rock Spa – I recently had a bamboo massage at Red Rock Spa and aside from my love for bamboo rainforests I cannot think about a better way to relax than by having bamboo rubbed over my stress spots. I know that might sound weird but the bamboo is rolled, rubbed and push through your trouble spots and soon you leave the spa feeling 10 years younger.
Spa Bellagio – Luxury has a way of making you feel real good. I could workout at the Bellagio everyday of the week just to surround myself with the feeling you get when you hang out at the Spa Bellagio. Have a seasonal massage, take in a one of their classes and slow you day down. I’m partial to a spinning class or to some poolside yoga.
The Spa at Aria – I’m always going on about their Thai Poultice Massage but I would settle for a nap in the salt room or a complete dose of relaxation on the Ganbanyoku beds. Heated stones on your body melt the stress away. There is also a very comfortable therapy pool that begs you to sit in the water and daydream. This is a secret treasure that you MUST take advantage of.
Canyon Ranch Spa at Venetian – If you have the super active lifestyle and you need a spin class or some rock climbing this is the spa for you. After you take in all the action of the classes you can get your feet rubbed for an hour or try the Aquavana thermal environments. My favorites are the Wave Room and the Salt Grotto that are also co-ed so you can share them with your special someone if you so choose. You also have to try the Experiential Rains and have some water rush over your body to renew your energy.
